Ladies and Gentlemen of the
It is an honor to serve as your President for the 2008-2009
year. With the realization that my
Board of Directors and distinguished Past Presidents will assist me in
performing my duties, I look forward to a year of continuing growth for this
organization. With the help of
dedicated members we will continue to expand membership and the Dick Trainor
Scholarship fund will continue to increase.
This fund will assist deserving young students to pursue careers in
engineering. We count on these
young people to fill the needs of the profession which will benefit the State of
This year we awarded two Scholarships of $5,000.00 each to
promising young students selected by the respective High School Administration.
The MAE Board of Directors honors members of the Engineering Community
who have served the profession honorably for many years.
The Scholarship Committee then contacts the high school or college which
the honoree attended or selects.
The appropriate school is contacted and asked to select a deserving student who

As my term in office begins, I look forward to meeting all of the members of MAE at our many events throughout the year. These are designed to provide a venue for people active in all phases of the engineering field; Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers, and Public Agencies to exchange ideas while enjoying fellowship in a pleasant atmosphere. I ask that you encourage your friends and colleagues to join our organization and participate in our many social functions, all of which support the Scholarship Fund.
